The ‘D’ Day Picnic & Ride Past

Celebrate and remember the remarkable events of 6th June 1944, and pay our respects to those that made it possible for us to do what we do today. Join us for an afternoon Picnic (please bring your own) and Fun Family Games including Norwegian Chess and French Cricket followed by a moving slow ride past the Canadian War Memorial in the heart of The New Forest National Park. It will be an easy ride through the Forest with a stop off for coffee at The Station Cafe near Burly. Suitable for all riders. A different gentle ride through the forest, 43 Miles to Bolderwood & 12 Miles return to Ower. In the event that the weather causes the picnic to be cancelled we will still be running a shortened ride, and it would start from SH-D meeting at 2.00pm. This would allow us to still complete the slow ride past. This ride is suitable for all.
